Inventory Element Description
407 Customer Service Center This customer service center provides back office, administration, and customer service functions for the Highway 407 electronic toll collection system.
511 System - Canada The 511 system for Canada, focusing on transportation and traveler information to the traveling public.
Air Freight Terminals Air freight terminals including those operated by UPS. UPS distribution center is off-airport.
Amtrak Passenger Train Terminal Represents the one Amtrak terminal located in the region that has other transportation service provider facilities (e.g. bus shelter, taxi stand, etc.).
Archived Data User Systems This represents the systems that are used to access archived transportation, maintenance, construction, or transit data for research, planning, and other off-line uses.
Automated Clearance System for US Customs This clearance system is operated by US Customs at the international border.
Bridge Border Crossing Systems Represents the electronic border crossing systems for pre-clearance credentials and information at the border crossings. The commercial traffic will electronically transmit the documentation prior to arrival to the border crossing so that an instantaneous clearance can be made. Includes The Niagara Falls Intelligent Transportation Border Crossing System (ITBCS) and the similar system at the Peace Bridge.
Buffalo Intermodal Transportation Center Represents the transportation center located in Buffalo that will integrate NFTA Bus, Private Inter-City Bus, Amtrak, and Light Rail Rapid Transit systems.
Buffalo Niagara International Airport This international airport serves the City of Buffalo and the surrounding area.
Buffalo Niagara International Airport Parking System The parking management system (parking lots, pay stations, etc.) at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport (operated by the NFTA).
Buffalo-Niagara International Airport Kiosks Kiosks placed at the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport that serves as a multimodal service provider and has access to transit agency websites and information as well as a yellow pages provider for the Buffalo-Niagara region.
Canada Border Services Agency This system supports screening and clearance of vehicles and persons entering Canada.
Canadian Border Inspection Sensor Systems Sensor systems (e.g. radiation portal monitors) used to sense threats in freight, vehicles, or travelers.
Canadian Border Inspection Systems Represents systems used by Canadian Customs at the border.
Canadian National Commercial Vehicle Safety Database National commercial vehicle safety database.
CBSA Border Inspection Administration Canada Border Services Agency administration
Central Access Traffic Signal Control Provides central access to provincial signals that are distributed throughout the Regional Municipality of Niagara.
CHEMTREC / CANUTEC Hazardous material information specialist used by public safety agencies in the United States to plan and effect a safe Hazmat response.
City of Buffalo Coordinated Traffic Signal System Planned closed loop traffic signal control system for the City of Buffalo.
City of Buffalo Field Equipment Field equipment, operated and maintained by the City of Buffalo, including traffic signals.
City of Buffalo Parking Management System Parking lots and facilities operated by City of Buffalo.
Commercial Vehicle The actual commercial vehicle along with the special aspects of large commercial vehicles designed to carry cargo. This element represents the physical characteristics of these vehicles (e.g., size, weight, axle count, license information) that can be directly measured by external systems.
Commercial Vehicle Driver The operator of a commercial vehicle.
Commercial Vehicle Fleet Dispatch Systems Charter bus fleets, major truck fleet operators, taxi services, limo services, etc. Note that the dispatch may actually be outside the state.
Commercial Vehicle Information Exchange Window (CVIEW) Commercial Vehicle Information Exchange Window (CVIEW) routes Inspection Reports in near real-time and stores and distributes intrastate and interstate carrier and vehicle snapshots within a state. CVIEW connects to SAFER for exchange of interstate snapshots and other reports and data. CVIEW is an electronic data exchange system or 'portal' that connects the various systems in the State of New York.
Commercial Vehicle Information Systems and Network (CVISN) Commercial vehicle information systems and networks.
Commercial Vehicles This element represents the on-board ITS equipment associated with a commercial vehicle to include the transponder (e.g., AVION CVO Tag), vehicle, cargo, and trip monitoring systems.
COMPASS Web Page Provides traffic information, planned closures, video images, system description and operation details.
County EOC Emergency Operations Center at a county level.
Court System Represents the various court systems used to seek restitution from toll violators.
CP, CN, CSX, NS, SB and Trillium Wayside Equipment Grade crossing equipment operated by the railroads which provides driver warnings and notifies adjacent traffic control equipment of approaching trains.
CP, CN, CSX, NS, SB, and Trillium Rail Operations Centers Operations Centers and dispatch points for the region's rail operations: CP, CN, CSX, NS, SB and Trillium
Customs Broker Systems Private service providers to commercial vehicle and freight operators for managing and clearing customs.
CVO Inspector Responsible for the inspection of commercial vehicles within the region.
EMO Emergency Operations Center This Emergency Operations Center is operated by Ontario during major incidents, weather events, or disasters. Located in downtown Toronto.

E-ZPass CSC Web Site Web site and information portal (including account information) for E-ZPass customers.
E-ZPass Reciprocity Network This element represents the reconciliation service that allows the exchange of information between agencies that are affiliated with the Inter-Agency Group or other agencies that must reconcile toll charges for clients of the IAG.
E-ZPass Tag The basic electronic toll collection vehicle tag used in the E-Zpass network of toll collection systems.
Financial Institutions Represents the banks and financial clearinghouses that manage the exchange of funds between transportation service providers and transportation service users.
Freight Shippers Systems Organizations shipping intermodal freight.
Global Information System (Immigration Database) A database of immigration records that is used by US Customs in screening vehicles at the international border.
Government Reporting Systems This general element is used in the National ITS Architecture to represent various government agency systems that require transportation reports.
IFTA Clearinghouse This is a national clearinghouse designed to allocate fuel taxes between multiple states for motor carrier activities across jurisdictional lines, in accordance with the International Fuel Tax Agreement.
IIS The asset management systen for the NYSTA.
Inter-City Bus Service This represents the inter-city bus companies (e.g. Greyhound) that provide surface transportation in the region.
Intermodal Containers Represents the electronic tags on Intermodal containers.
Lift and Draw Bridge Field Equipment Buffalo River has three highway lift bridges (City of Buffalo) and two rail lift bridges (owned and operated by CSX/NS). Welland Canal also have both highway and rail lift bridges.
Local Asset Management System Intended to represent the local agency's asset management systems (e.g. pavement management system, asset inventory, sign inventory, etc.).
Local Commercial Vehicle Admin Systems The permit systems, credentialing systems, etc. for the municipalities within the region.
Local DPW Dispatch This includes city, county, and agency specific maintenance dispatch systems.
Local DPW Maintenance and Construction Vehicles Maintenance and construction vehicles operated by municipal public works departments.
Local EMS Dispatch This includes EMS provider systems that are separate from the Fire Departments. This region includes the MERS (Medical Emergency Radio Service) system.
Local EMS Vehicles Ambulances operated by EMS provider systems that are separate from the Fire Departments.
Local EOC Public Information Office The public information office for local emergency operations centers. Responsible for providing traveler information to the general public.
Local Equipment Repair Facility The equipment repair facility for local municipalities.
Local Fire Dispatch Represents the dispatch function for local fire districts or fire control centers (normally associated with the 911 centers).
Local Fire Vehicles Fire vehicles and apparatus operated by local districts or fire control centers, commonly associated with the 911 centers.
Local ITS Field Equipment This element represents all the traffic signal control field equipment in the Niagara Region (including both US and Canadian systems).
Local Police Dispatch Represents city, town, parks, and village police departments, and county sheriffs departments. Also represents regional, Niagara Parks Commission, regional office of the RCMP and provincial police in the Niagara Region of Ontario. This element shows how each of these local systems should integrate into the larger regional framework.
Local Police Vehicles Represents police vehicles operated by city, town, and village police departments, county sheriffs departments, and state police troop A dispatch systems. Also represents regional, Niagara Parks Commission, and provincial police vehicles in the Niagara Region of Ontario. This element shows how each of these local systems should integrate into the larger regional framework. Some fleets already have AVL.
Local PSAP Local Public Safety Answering Point. This currently includes 27 separate PSAPs in Erie County, and additional PSAPs in Niagara County, and the Niagara Region. Includes the E-911.
Local Public Information Office The public information office for local municipalities that provides filtered traveler information to ISPs and the media.
Local Storage Facility Storage facilities owned and operated by local municipalities within the Buffalo-Niagara region.
Local Traffic Signal Control Systems This element represents the traffic signal control systems for the municipalities within the Niagara Region (including both US and Canadian systems).
Local Venue Event Scheduling System This general system represents the convention centers, music centers, sporting facilities and other venues that regularly host events that impact traffic. Specific examples in the region include: Rich Stadium in Orchard Park, Marine Midland Arena, local college venues (University of Buffalo, Canisius College, and Buffalo State College), and the Buffalo Theater District.
Local/Agency EOC Emergency operations center for local municipalities within the region.
Mayday/Concierge Service Center National services (e.g., GM On-Star) that provide Mayday and traveler information services for their customers.
Metropolitan Transportation Center A major multimodal transportation terminal in Buffalo that is serviced by NFTA and Private Bus Companies.
MMS The NYSTA's maintenance management system.
MOE Center Ontario Ministry of the Environment (MOE) Center
MOE Regional Office This regional office is one of the allied agencies that is involved in incident response, specifically those with potential for environmental impact
MOF CVO Fuel Tax Ontario Ministry of Finance's commercial vehicle fuel tax system.
MPO Data Collection and Reporting System A multimodal transportation data archive operated by the MPO for the Greater Buffalo metropolitan area.
MTO ARWIS Environmental sensors deployed by MTO
MTO Asset Management System Intended to represent the MTO's asset management systems (e.g. pavement management system, asset inventory, sign inventory, etc.).
MTO ATMS Maintenance The maintenance group at the MTO that is responsible for maintaining and repairing the MTO's ITS equipment.
MTO Burlington TOC The Burlington Traffic Operations Center that is operated by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.
MTO Call Boxes Emergency call boxes operated by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and are connected to an Operations Center.
MTO Collision Database A traffic records database that includes collision data collected from law enforcement agencies and maintained by MTO.
MTO Commercial Vehicle Operations Commercial vehicle operations would have database of carrier ratings and credentials status.
MTO Compass COMPASS is a high-tech Freeway Traffic Management System developed by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) to respond to traffic congestion problems on urban freeways. COMPASS helps reduce traffic congestion and increase safety by: allowing for the prompt detection and removal of freeway incidents and vehicle breakdowns; providing accurate and timely freeway incident and delay information to motorists; and, effectively managing peak rush hour traffic flow through innovative traffic control devices. In the NITTEC architecture, the COMPASS system is an adjacent transportation system.
MTO Downsview TOC The Downsview Traffic Operations Center operated by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. Connects with ITS elements in the South Ontario region.
MTO Field Equipment Field equipment, operated and maintained by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, including lane control signals, dynamic message signs, highway advisory radio, ramp meters, CCTV, and portable equipment.
MTO Highway Work Permit System Road work scheduling and coordination systems.
MTO Kiosks Kiosks operated by the MTO and used for acquiring CVO permits and other functions.
MTO License and Registration System This system manages license and registration for vehicles, and driver licenses, registered in the province of Ontario.
MTO Maintenance and Construction Vehicles Maintenance and construction vehicles operated by MTO, or operated by contractors to MTO.
MTO Maintenance/Construction Dispatch There are 5 maintenance patrols. These systems do all maintenance activities within each patrol boundary. The patrols also are instrumental in Incident Management.
MTO Niagara COMPASS Field Equipment ITS field equipment operated by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. Includes detectors, Arterial Advisory Signs, VMS, and CCTV cameras.
MTO Overweight/Oversize Permit System This system issues oversize/overweight permits for commercial vehicles operating in Ontario. Includes oversize and overweight maintenance vehicles.
MTO Regional Emergency Operation Center Ontario Ministry of Transportation's regional emergency operations center.

MTO Safety and Regulation Inspector Systems Provides commercial vehicle enforcement for MTO.

Municipality Event Permit Systems This element represents the special permit offices and associated systems that provide permits for large public gatherings and special events. In the statewide architecture, key information is gleaned for these systems to support planning so that adequate support can be provided by transportation operators in the region.
National Weather Service National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration regional field office.
Newspapers, Radio, Television Stations The local newspaper, radio stations, and cable and broadcast TV stations that carry traveler information as a service to their clients.
NFBC Electronic Toll Collection Equipment Electronic toll collection equipment operated by the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission.
NFBC Field Equipment Field equipment associated with the three bridges (Rainbow Bridge, Whirlpool Bridge, and Lewiston-Queenston Bridges) operated by the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission.
NFBC Service Center Customer service center operated by the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission.
NFBC TMC This traffic management center provides traffic control and monitoring functions for the three bridges managed by the NFBC.
NFTA Court System The court system is used to seek restitution from toll violators. This interface represents a future data interface that could be used to provide information to the court system on violators.

Serves as a coordination point for transit and traffic management with NITTEC. Provides emergency operations and control for all NFTA systems.
Niagara Falls International Airport This international airport provides air service for the Niagara Falls region.
Niagara Falls Ontario Bus Terminal Integrates Greyhound and Niagara Falls Transit. It is directly across from the passenger rail terminal.
Niagara Falls Paratransit Service Provides the paratransit dispatch function for paratransit vehicles operated by Mobility Niagara.
Niagara Falls Paratransit Vehicles Paratransit vehicles operating in the Niagara region.
Niagara Falls Transit Center This transit center provides transit dispatch and garage functions for the transit system serving the City of Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Niagara Falls Transit Vehicles Transit vehicles (city buses) operated by the City of Niagara Falls.
Niagara Parks Parking System This system represents the parking lots, operated by the Niagara Parks Commission, that are used by visitors to the Niagara Falls tourist area. Their inclusion in the regional architecture represents potential instrumentation of these lots and integration with other transportation in the region to more efficiently move visitors to and from the lots.
Niagara Parks People Mover The transit system operated by the parks commission that provides transport between tourist areas on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. This shuttle may be upgraded and/or extended with a monorail system in the future.
Niagara Parks Tourist Services A place holder system that represents the overall coordination and traveler information services provided by the Niagara Parks Commission.
NITTEC TOC Archive Management System The archive management system for NITTEC that collects regional traffic and incident data over a regional network.
NITTEC Traffic Count Stations Traffic count stations owned and operated by NITTEC.
NITTEC Traffic Operations Center The traffic operations center operated by NITTEC that coordinates the activities of various traffic operations centers. The TOC is currently housed in the NFTA Operations Control Center in downtown Buffalo. The TOC acts as a communications hub and operations center through its Information Exchange Network. This TOC aims to coordinate the NYSDOT, NYSTA, PBA, Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and the NFBC systems.

NY Statewide Police Information Network This statewide network provides access to license and registration information.
NYS DMV Accident Reporting System A database of collision information collected by law enforcement and maintained by the Department of Motor Vehicles in New York.
NYS DMV Licensing and Registration System This system provides commercial driver's license and vehicle registration in New York. This system provides a traditional interface to the motor carrier which will be augmented by an electronic interface through the OSCAR system.
NYS Highway Use Tax (HUT) System This system collects highway use taxes from motor carriers associated with commercial vehicle operations in the State of New York. This system provides a traditional interface to the motor carrier which will be augmented by an electronic interface through the OSCAR system.
NYS Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit The back office systems operated by the NY State Police.
NYS Police Dispatch Represents the New York State Police dispatching functions.
NYS Safety and Accident System Traffic records database including collision data, maintained by the DMV.
NYS Travel Information Gateway Web portal for traveler information and commercial vehicle permits for the State of New York.
NYSDEC Field Equipment Field equipment owned and operated by NYSDEC. Includes emissions monitoring stations throughout the region.
NYSDEC Main Office The DEC Main Office makes ozone forecasts that are used to alert affected regions that need to take steps to mitigate air pollution on poor air quality days.
NYSDEC Regional Office This regional office is one of the allied agencies that is involved in incident response, specifically those with potential for environmental impact because hazardous materials are involved, or for other reasons.
NYSDOT Asset Management System Intended to represent the NYSDOT's asset management systems (e.g. pavement management system, asset inventory, sign inventory, etc.).
NYSDOT Bridge Management System This database identifies all bridges and identifies all pertinent information about the bridges including dimensional and weight limitations and a record of all bridge inspections.
NYSDOT CARS Conditions Acquisition Reporting System (CARS) provides a multi-state database of travel events such as accidents and roadwork. CARS software allows authorized staff to input construction, accident, delay, and other roadway, weather and tourism event information into statewide databases. The CARS server also supports routine DOT dispatch, press release and emergency response activities.In the future the server may function as a data warehouse (future).
NYSDOT Divisible Load Permit System This system provides permits to all overweight vehicles with normal dimensions. Divisible loads include logs, sand, asphalt, gravel, etc.
NYSDOT Equipment Management Division Group responsible for maintaining NYSDOT's maintenance and construction vehicles.
NYSDOT Equipment Management Shop Equipment repair facilities/shops for NYSDOT maintenance and construction vehicles.
NYSDOT Field Equipment Major freeways in the area New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) operates the Kensington Expressway (NY33), the Scajaquada Expressway (NY 198) and the Youngmann Expressway (I-290) in the area. Includes RWIS, CCTV, VMS, TRANSMIT, portable DMS and loops. Operated by NITTEC.

NYSDOT Highway Work Permit System The NYSDOT permit system that must be completed prior to any work being done within the NYSDOT right-of-way.
NYSDOT Infrastructure Restrictions Database This database contains a comprehensive highway restrictions (lane closures, shoulder work, etc. caused my scheduled construction and maintenance or incidents) and dimensional limitations (width, height, turning radius) for NYSDOT highways and roads. This database represents a single up-to-date source of the current highway configuration for the roads managed by NYSDOT.
NYSDOT Kiosks Regional kiosks that will be located at rest areas and other facilities along NYSDOT roadways (truck stops, service plazas, etc).
NYSDOT Main Office Environmental Analysis Bureau The systems operated by this bureau collect air quality data and make this data available for archival, planning, and analysis.
NYSDOT Main Office Highway Data Services This system collects traffic data from a statewide system of dedicated traffic count stations and also from the NYSDOT regional offices. This system collects vehicle classification, weight, and other traffic measures. It also includes the roadway characteristics and condition ratings for the highways. Data services also collects "Photolog" information, which is a series of photos of the state highway system.
NYSDOT Main Office PPMIS The PPMIS, consisting of the Program Support System (PSS) and the Project Management Information System (PMIS), supports the planning, management, implementation and monitoring of the Department’s capital program. PPMIS maintains planning, finance, and project information as it tracks each project from initial development to construction completion and final payment. PPMIS can be utilized for program analysis and long range traveler information.

NYSDOT Non-Integrated Traffic Count Stations Permanent counting stations used by NYSDOT to collect traffic data.
NYSDOT Public Information Office System This system provides filtered traveler information to ISPs and the media for NYSDOT.
NYSDOT Region 5 Division Office Represents the divisional offices for Region 5 of NYSDOT.
NYSDOT Region 5 Maintenance/Construction Residencies/Bridge Crew Facilities There are 5 maintenance residencies and 1 bridge crew facilities across Region 5. These systems do all maintenance activities within each residency boundary (generally aligned with counties, but they cover only a portion of a county or span several counties in many cases). The residencies also are instrumental in Incident Management.
NYSDOT Region 5 Operations Center Coordinates maintenance and construction activities between the 5 maintenance residencies and 1 bridge crew facilities across Region 5.
NYSDOT Regional Emergency Operations Center The emergency operations center provides overall command and control of NYSDOT regional resources during major incidents and emergencies.
NYSDOT Regional Operation Center Coordinates maintenance and construction activities between the 5 maintenance residencies and 1 bridge crew facilities across Region 5.
NYSDOT Regional Signal Shop Maintenance group responsible for maintaining NYSDOT's field equipment.
NYSDOT Road Weather Information System This central system collects weather information from regional servers to analyze current weather and forecast weather changes.
NYSDOT Scales/Inspection Systems Local scales and commercial vehicle inspection facilities operated by NYSDOT.
NYSDOT Special Hauling Permit System This system issues permits for oversize and overweight vehicles operating on NYSDOT facilities.
NYSDOT Statewide IEN - Data Distribution New York State Department of Transportation Statewide Information Exchange Network - To interconnect TMCs and CAD across NY state. This element represents the connection to the state, Thruway, County, and City Traffic Management Centers in New York and adjacent states. Communication between these centers uses a mesh topology - any traffic management center can communicate directly with any other traffic management center. This element also represents traffic operations in adjacent jurisdictions that may also require coordination, particularly during major incidents.
NYSDOT Statewide Information Centers (511) These main office systems will be a focal point for access to NYSDOT transportation and traveler information, serving operational systems in NYSDOT and sister agencies, and the traveling public. They will provide data consolidation and information dissemination services for NYSDOT. Encompass by and included within the IEN.

NYSDOT Traffic Signal Control Servers Regional closed loop traffic system equipment is interfaced through these servers, located within the NITTEC TOC.
NYSDOT Traffic Signal Inventory System and Maintenance System Inventories each traffic signal intersection including equipment at that intersection as well as maintenance and dispatch history. The maintenance and dispatch data will be collected in the future.
NYSDOT Transit Data Archive This archive includes ridership, maintenance data, and operational data (e.g., route coverage) for transit properties in New York. This database can support federal reporting requirements (Section 5311). System designers may use the data to validate their work.
NYSDOT TRIPS System This multimodal trip planning system will offer trip planning and routing services for trips covering multiple transit systems and other transportation modes.

NYSTA Electronic Toll Collection Equipment EZ-Pass is the beacon-tag system used for toll collection. The DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communications) air interface is of a proprietary design owned by Mark IV.
NYSTA E-ZPass Service Center The NYSTA CSC (Customer Service Center) is one of a network of CSCs that allow reciprocity for E-ZPass travelers across several toll systems across the North East. These cooperating agencies are all members of the Inter-Agency Group (IAG).

RMN Maintenance Dispatch There are maintenance patrols across the region. These systems do all maintenance activities within each patrol boundary. The patrols also are instrumental in Incident Management.

Route 5 Skyway Closing System The Skyway closing system along the elevated portion of NY 5 near Lake Erie through downtown Buffalo. Includes sensors that aide in protecting drivers from severe weather conditions. Due to low visibility and high winds, the raised portion of NY 5 adjacent to Lake Erie (the Skyway) is occasionally closed to traffic. When such poor driving conditions exist, the Skyway is closed by an electronic system of fixed message signs and flashers. The Buffalo Police Department determines when to close the Skyway and via modem and radio activates fixed message signs at both ends of the Skyway.
School District Buses Represents the ITS equipment installed on school buses. General ITS capabilities are included here, omitting fare management capabilities, but with increased emphasis on the positive identification of students on the buses.
School District Transportation Dispatch Provides dispatch function for the region's school buses. Includes both US and Canadian School District systems.
Smart Card A card used by a traveler to pay for transportation-related services (e.g., parking fees, transit fares, traveler services).
St. Catharines Transit Center Integrates St. Catharines Transit, Grey Coach. Also has a large parking lot (future parking management).
St. Catharines Transit Dispatch Provides the dispatch function St. Catharines transit vehicles. This facility also provides administration and operations support for the St. Catharines Transit services.
St. Catharines Transit Kiosks Kiosks for traveler information (broadcast or interactive), such as transit schedules, that are owned by St. Catharines Transit Commission.
St. Catharines Transit Vehicles Transit vehicles (buses) operated by the St. Catharines Transit Commission.
State Emergency Operations Center This statewide Emergency Operations Center in Albany is activated for major emergencies.
Tourist Information Radio Station The Niagara Parks Commission and the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission jointly operate a Traveler Traffic Information Radio Station (Travel Advisory Radio). The station broadcasts from the Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls, Ontario at 35 watts. Traffic and incident information presently provided by MTO; this information will come from NITTEC in the future.
TRANSCOM RA Servers The TRANSCOM regional architecture (TRA) is a program. It coordinates the collection and redistribution of traffic flow, origin-destination, incident, construction, equipment status and special event information data between transportation management centers running the TRANSCOM regional architecture. Both highway and transit facility data is distributed via TRA.
Transit Terminal Security Systems The surveillance systems and emergency notification systems that can be used to improve security in transit terminals and other public areas.
TRANSMIT Servers Local TRANSMIT (link speed & OD monitoring) servers will be located in the NITTEC TOC and other TRANSCOM member agencies. The TRANSMIT servers will collect probe data using the EZ-Pass tags and send traffic data to the local TRANSCOM regional architecture (TRA) servers.
Traveler Vehicle Represents the ITS elements installed on private traveler vehicles.
US Border Inspection Sensor Systems Sensor systems (e.g. radiation portal monitors) used to sense threats in freight, vehicles, or travelers.
US Border Inspection Systems Represents systems used by US Customs at the border.
US Customs and Border Protection The unified border agency of the United States. Combines the inspection and border authorities of U.S. Customs, Immigration, Animal and Plant health Inspection Services, and the entire U.S. Border Patrol.
USCBP Border Inspection Administration Performs the administrative function of international border clearances for the United States.
VIA Passenger Train Terminal Heavy rail passenger train service serving Canada.
Welland Transit Center Provides the dispatch function for Welland transit vehicles. This facility also provides administration and operations support for the City of Welland Transit services.
Welland Transit Kiosks Kiosks for traveler information (broadcast or interactive), such as transit schedules, that are owned by Welland Transit.
