Stakeholders

The Childress Regional ITS Architecture represents the consensus input of a diverse set of stakeholders, encompassing traffic, transit, public safety, and many other operating agencies at local, county, state, and national levels.  It includes both public and private sectors and spans the organizations that manage, support, or are impacted by the surface transportation system in the Childress Region.

Childress City Police Department Law enforcement for the City of Childress
Commercial Vehicle Operators Private commercial vehicle operators
Community Convention and Visitors Bureau Providers of scheduling and support for conferences, tours and events in the community.
County EOC County Emergency Operations Center. Provides coordination of mitigation and responses for natural and man-made disasters and emergencies.
County Road and Bridge County agency responsible for maintaining county roads and bridges in the Childress Region
Double Mountain Coach Operator of demand response transit service
DPS Texas Department of Public Safety
DPS Division of Emergency Management Mitigation and response for natural and man-made disasters and emergencies.
Independent School Districts Includes public schools throughout the Childress Region.
Local Media Includes both print (newspaper) and broadcast (TV, radio) news media.
Municipal or County Public Safety Local city or county agencies responsible for emergency coordination.
Municipal Public Works Department Local city department responsible for street maintenance.
NOAA National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (National Weather Service).
ODOT Oklahoma Department of Transportation
Panhandle Transit A unit of Panhandle Community Services; provides paratransit and specialized transportation services throughout the Region.
Private Carriers Private shuttles, delivery vehicles (FedEx, UPS), taxis, etc.
Private Information Service Providers Local, regional and national information service providers that provide travel information, including local media (print, TV, radio), Internet sites, service bureaus, etc.
Private Mayday Providers Operators of private emergency notification systems including OnStar, LoJack, Rescue
Private Tow/Wrecker Providers Private towing companies
Private Travelers Traveling public accessing various modes of transportation, including surface street, air, rail/transit, and non-motorized.
Public Transportation Agencies All public transportation agencies operating in the Childress Region
Rail Operators National passenger and freight rail systems
Regional Emergency and Public Safety Agencices Agencies responsible for emergency management and public safety functions
Regional Hospitals Hospital/trauma centers in the region.
Rolling Plains Management Corporation Operators of the SHARP Line transit service.
