This general system represents the convention centers, music centers, sporting facilities and other venues that regularly host events that impact traffic. Specific examples in the FDOT District 2 region include: the Jacksonville Coliseum, the Metropolitan Park ampitheater, the Prime Osborne Convention Center, the Florida Theater, the Florida Times-Union Performing Arts Center, the Jacksonville Fairgrounds, University of Florida Athletic Association venues, Gator National Drag Race, and Wolfson Park. Major venues for professional sports teams are specifically identified by other elements in this regional architecture.
