Description: |
Represents major parking facilities in downtown areas, resort areas, airports, and other major travel destinations and transportation hubs in District 5. The city of Orlando is exploring options for improving parking information dissemination through signs. During times of heavy usage, the signal control system may adapt to facilitate access to the parking lots. These are preliminary ideas. Also, rest areas and comfort stations (truck rest area in conjunction with WIM facilities) do fill up. Information could be provided to travelers about rest area status.
