Traveler Vehicle

Status:

Existing

Description:

This element represents the personal automobile, motorcycle, or bicycle operating on roads in Florida. It includes ITS sensory, processing, storage, and communications functions necessary to support efficient, safe, and convenient travel by personal automobile. Of central importance to the Florida Statewide Architecture are the electronic toll collection service and the information services that provide the motorist with key traveler information. Also included in the traveler vehicle are safety functions and other services that are largely self-contained in the automobile, so they have little impact on the statewide architecture.
